Our Mission
The mission of Grupo de Capoeira Angola Estrela do Norte is to promote and preserve the art of Capoeira Angola and to share the history and culture with our community through presentations, workshops and classes.Our objectives include forming a strong group of angoleiros with the ability to sing, play the instruments, execute the movements, and have knowledge of the roots, rituals and traditions of Capoeira Angola.
We encourage our members to promote the ideals of human equality and cultural exchange, as well as global peace and justice through involvement in projects worldwide.
We will support and interact with communities and organizations in Brazil with the intention of demonstrating our gratitude and respect for the people who created, preserved and handed down the cultural art of Capoeira Angola.
We will continue to learn and develop our capoeira through these interactions and we will serve as a cultural force which inspires the appreciation of diversity.
